Free Event | No Registration Required - Join us for the “’Still We Rise’ Legacy Series,” a new program focused on intergenerational building. The Legacy Series is community-driven and was created by the Davis family based on the experiences of mother and son Estine and Micheal Davis. The events will take place while the ‘Still We Rise’ exhibit is on display and will focus on different topics that are important for families to consider as they transition between life phases. 

Medicare*

This Medicare preview will start with an Executive Summary that will discuss the different parts of Medicare (Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D) at an overview level and include other important aspects of Medicare such as initial enrollment period, special enrollment period, working past 65 coverage, and conclude with a Medicare decision flow chart. The Executive Summary will be followed by a detailed discussion of all major components and will include discussions on Medicare Premium cost for Part B and Part D, Medicare Supplemental Plans (Medigap Plans), and prescription drug coverage in Part D including cost, the donut hole, and catastrophic coverage. There will also be detailed discussions on the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHB) and Medicare. This section will end with a comparison of Original Medicare vs. Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C).
