The El Paso Museum of History is home to the only interactive digital wall of its kind in the United States and one of four in the world!
"Neighborhoods & Shared Memories: Austin Terrace" focuses on the Central El Paso neighborhood that was once marketed as El Paso’s first metropolitan suburb. Notable for its diverse architectural styles, unique street layout, and lush greenery, the neighborhood catered primarily to wealthy El Pasoans looking for privacy and exclusivity.
In addition to the homes in the neighborhood, institutions like Loretto Academy and the Radford School were influential forces in shaping the neighborhood's identity. Austin Terrace explores this history from the 1910s through the 1970s while showcasing items borrowed from families and schools in the area.
Explore more than 1,000 years of our regional history in the heart of El Paso’s Downtown Arts District.
The Museum’s collection of more than 10,000 artifacts, documents, images, and personal stories chronicles the growth of El Paso- one of largest border metroplexes in the world.
