Free Event | For ages 18 months – 4 years old | No registration required | Space is limited* - Join us for a special Rockin’ Tykes celebrating our community-based exhibit “Musica Sin Fronteras”! Participants ages 18 months to four years old are invited to join us for an hour-long interactive session celebrating the unique musical traditions of our border region. The program uses music and other art forms to help children reach age-appropriate developmental milestones, while simultaneously highlighting the importance of parent/child play and peer-to-peer interactions. Rockin' Tykes is run by speech-language pathologists and other early intervention specialists, and targets skills in the areas of communication, motor, self-help/adaptive, social emotional, sensory, and cognitive development.
Stop by between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM to create your own rattles and ribbon sticks to use during the event and take home afterwards. The Rockin' Tykes session begins at 10:30 AM and is an hour long.

“Musica Sin Fronteras: Twentieth Century to Now” invites audiences to explore the vibrant and diverse musical landscape that has thrived along the frontera throughout the greater part of the 20th century to the present.
Rockin' Tykes is an education initiative created as a way to reaffirm the importance of the arts in a child's development. Through physical, language, and cognitive activities, toddlers will be provided the opportunity to interact, communicate, and participate in a positive, mutually encouraging artistic and growing space.
