Free Event - Join us for the opening of “Musica Sin Fronteras: Twentieth Century To Now.” Our newest community-led exhibition showcases the dynamic and diverse musicians, bands, genres, studios, and venues, that have called the frontera home for the greater 20th century. At the turn of the century, the region experienced a population and economic boom and in return a diverse community arose and soon gave the frontera its own unique sound. In the following decades the frontera heard, corridos of the revolution of the 1910s, the arrival of the jazz age in the 20s, the big band Pachuco sound of the 40s, 50s battle of the bands in Segundo Barrio, Boy Bands of the 60s, radio jockeys of the 70s, the arrival of the punk scene in the 80s, the EDM beats of the 90s, the indie arrival of the 2000s, the festival lineups of the 2010s and the digital music revolution of the 2020s.

This exhibition acknowledges and celebrates the contributions that the frontera has brought nationally and internationally for residents and visitors alike.

"Musica Sin Fronteras" will be on display through April 2025.
