Free event | Our museum is admission free! - Join us during Día de los Muertos for free activities and special exhibits! This year's celebration highlights the region of Veracruz, which is located to the east along the Gulf of Mexico. Veracruz is known for its unique regional identity, which can be traced back to the intersection of Indigenous, European, African, and Caribbean cultural influences.

We invite the community to add to our community altar!
We encourage:
Copies or disposable photos*( no larger than 8.5" x 11") of:
- loved ones who have passed
- favorite deceased celebrities or artists
- pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge
Non-perishable items such as:
- tea lights or unlit candles
- artificial flowers
- sugar skulls
- unopened non-glass beverages
- disposable mementos or knick-knacks
Do NOT bring:
- original or only-copy photos
- any flammable materials
- any fragile items
- glitter, confetti, or balloons
- live plants
- perishable foods
- any trinkets or valuable items that you don't want thrown away
- large or sharp objects

Get ready to watch the parade with free Día de los Muertos face painting!
+ Sugar Skull Workshop
1pm - 4pm | $
Learn more about the art of sugar skulls in this drop-in workshop. Visitors will be able to create their own sugar skull to take home. $12 for EPMH members, $15 for non-members. While supplies last*.
