“El Paso’s Homegrown: World War II”, is a new exhibit that explores the impact of World War II on the Borderland. Through a combination of our collection and community contributions, “El Paso’s Homegrown” covers Company E, the European and Pacific theatres of the war, the Bracero program, the home efforts of women, the contributions of Indigenous tribes, Japanese internment, and Tom Lea’s work as a war correspondent.
This exhibit is presented with support from the El Paso Museum of History Foundation, the Tom Lea Institute, the El Paso Museum of Art, and the Museums & Cultural Affairs Department.
